Southlake Connections

Southlake Community Services Inc successfully received State funding from the Ministry for Police and Emergency Services, through the Community Resilience Innovation Program (CRIP), in December 2014. The project funding focused on activating local networks for disaster preparedness and resilience in the South Lake Macquarie region. In partnership with Morisset Lions Club and Morisset Fire and Rescue, this project was a collaboration and response of local services, emergency services, and community networks in the South Lake Macquarie region during natural disasters and severe weather events. Into the future this project will assist in the development of strategies that strengthen collaboration, community resilience and connectedness.
